"Fwy" Fear Part 2
Lucy is now going through the same fear that Esther had a year or so ago. She is deathly afraid of flies. It would be fine for her to have this fear if she wasn't so irrational about it. She sees any black speck or crumb and she thinks it's a fly. She wouldn't eat her raisin bran this morning because she swore there was a fly in it. Never mind that Mommy comes and checks it and tells her it's not a fly, it's okay. She is stubbornly afraid. If she sees what she thinks is a fly there is no resting until I remove the offending speck. Let me just say, it's impossible to have a floor completely clear of any tiny dark crumbs, especially with two messy girls. One time we had to get Lucy out of the bath and put her in the shower due to an unfortunate spot--probably from off Lucyu herself. This is why her fear is driving me CRAZY. Sometimes she won't even go play outside--she'll just sit on my lab because she spotted a fly. When you're outside, there will be flies!!! Fortunately, Esther got over this weird fear and hopefully we can get Lucy to work through it soon!

So I have a sister that is 30 and she is still as deathly afraid of flies as you described Lucy. Hope it doesn't last that long for you. (:
