All about Isaac

I was going to post some more pictures then our computer went on the fritz and now it's in the shop for at least a week. But the girls have been so cute and funny with Isaac that I wanted to write about the funny things they have said.
Lucy cannot seem to get the pronouns right--she is always saying things like, "Can I hold her?" It's a him Lu lu.

Esther LOVES to hold her brother and gets frustrated that the baby seems to always be eating or sleeping. She said today we must have the "sleepiest baby in the world!"

Lucy isn't quite so into holding or playing with the baby like her sister, but she has been FASCINATED with his umbilical cord stump. She has been asking frequently, "Can I see her bump?" Now that the stump has fallen off there isn't much left that interests her.

Esther has, of course, noticed that boys have different parts. She, of course, has asked, "Why do boys have different bums?"

John and I have been learning new things too--like how different it is to change a boys diaper and how you have to constantly be "on-guard" or you will be washing and wiping everything within a yard of the diaper changing pad.

It is so fun to have our little baby Isaac in our family. He looks just like his Daddy and a lot like Lucy too when she was a baby. I can't believe it's already been a week since he was born!

Welcome to boy world! Glad your enjoying it! Different parts and all... and its the most sad when the "pee shower" goes straight to their little face... right after you've given them a bath...

I can't wait to potty train with those things...
