Over Labor day weekend we had lots of family and fun. John's dad and two of his brothers came for the BYU game, the Thompson family reunion, and Isaac's baby blessing. It was really nice to see everyone and thanks to the reunion we had tons of family there for Isaac's blessing. When we lived out of state we never had that many! The family reunion was really fun too. The girls LOVED playing with their cousins--we're really glad they all made the long drive.

This is John's dad meeting Isaac for the first time. Too bad Isaac's pants are falling off... I need to chat with him about lowriding.

Here's my family, except for Jake because we either forgot to tell him or he forgot, but it was nice to have them there. My sweet Grandpa Hess came too but he was waiting in the car.
Here's the star of the show Isaac! Thanks to my neighbor for lending me the cute outfit--I couldn't find anything I liked at the stores. I actually thought the outfit would be too big because when I tried it on him a week ago it was drowning him--he must have grown two inches this week because it fit him much better on Sunday.

Here's all the Thompson family that came to the reunion--I think we took up 1/3 the chapel. It was really nice of them to all come. We loved it!

Here's a shot of the sisters-in-law. They were so helpful and they even left me meals in my freezer! Too bad this picture is not so great for the babies...
I wish I had more pictures from the reunion and the BYU game. Wow, we had a lot of people in our house for the game but I think John and his brothers provided most of the noise. There was lots of shouting, cheering, hugging, and maybe even a few tears... John is still talking about it. On Monday we went up to City Creek canyon for a barbeque/picnic in the mountains for the last event of the reunion. It was beautiful up there and the girls had a good time getting dirty and playing with the other kids. Whew, it was a busy but great weekend.

So sad to have missed the fun! It just didn't work out for timing with work (oh the downside of being self-employed) and school (oh those teenagers!) and money (darn that recession).
Cute pic of you 3 with your babies. Too bad my "baby" is 2...if only I could have another!
Cute little outfit! I bet it was nice having everyone there for the blessing.
Aaron too, could not stop talking about the game! And there really isn't anyone here , except Aaron Kamauu who is as big of fans of BYU as he and John. So he is REALLY missing you guys right now! I had to watch clips from ESPN commentators ALL DAY on Monday and Tuesday!
Hope you are adjusting well to baby boy-hood, and to three-kids-now! Hopefully things have calmed down since recovery, reunion, and baby blessing. I always feel like that first month before the blessing is so overwhelming. Are you sleeping?
Hey Cute pics I will have to get you the other ones that we took that weekend!! When can I come take the kids off your hands for you? Let me know. I would love it!!
We had so much fun seeing you guys and squeezing darling baby Issac! Thanks for letting us all crash in your basement and for hosting the BYU game. We miss you and your kids already (oh, and we miss you too, John!)
oh, and Janine...we missed you guys TONS. It just didn't seem right without the J&J Thompson clan there. Next time we'll ALL crash in the basement...right Katie?!
How fun Kate. I love his blessing outfit. He looks so handsome. He looks huge already. I still haven't even met him. I'm planning to come to Farmington on Weds. can we come visit?
