Zollinger Family Reunion/4th of July

Over the 4th we had a Zollinger Family reunion.  The girls loved every second of it and were sad when it ended.  It's always so fun to see everyone and catch up.  Festivities included the Kaysville parade, barbeques, penny slide, fireworks, roasting marshmallows, a Haiti service project, a Swiss dinner, a few classes on various subjects (Islam, my cousins' trip to Haiti, healthy eating, and my cousin's mission to Argentina), and lots of visiting and eating (not always healthy).  We had a great time despite being thoroughly exhausted.  We let the girls stay up later then they ever stay up--it was like Christmas to them that they got to sit around the campfire and roast marshmallows.  Lucy looked and me at one point, almost half asleep, and said, "Can we do this again sometime?"  I assured her we would.  Thanks for a great reunion Zollingers!

Esther enjoying the Kaysville parade (all two hours of it)!

Isaac enjoying Grandma's company and some goldfish.

Lucy is so candy crazed she can't even take her eyes off the parade for a picture or she might miss a pink piece of salt water taffy coming her way.

The penny slide is a Z tradition where my Grandma used to sprinkle pennies, nickels, dimes, and a few quarters on a slip and slide.  The girls, of course, loved it although they couldn't quite get the sliding part down.  This didn't stop Lucy from going about twenty times.  She would just tippy toe/run down the slide and then sit down and hurry and pick up money.  Esther didn't go as much because she was concerned about an "owie" and how she was supposed to slide in such a way to avoid further pain, subsequently, her "pockets" weren't quite as full as Lucy's.

I love the 4th of July because we usually get to spend it with family we don't get to see very often.
