The girls were SO excited when they woke up to snow yesterday. They put on their coats and gloves and immediately went outside after breakfast and built one snowman. Then we went shopping for a bit, found some better gloves for Esther and had lunch. Then in the afternoon they went back out for two hours and built four more snowmen. Five snowmen/snow-women for each person in our family. Pretty cute! I only helped one time because I am a wimp about the cold and I haven't bought snow boots yet since I moved back from California. I will this year! Just haven't found them yet. Although... I still may not go play in the snow for hours. Maybe just for one snowman. I did provide the snowmen eyes and noses and the hot chocolate for afterwards. It was fun to see them so excited and entertained.
Isaac wasn't thrilled about having to wear gloves and a hat but he wasn't thrilled either about how cold his hands got outside when he took them off. It's hard being 2.

What a fun wintry day you had! Mace built only two snowmen with her neighbor friends and they were adorable. I love how excited they get about the simple things in life. We can all learn so much from our little darlings.
