We celebrated Esther's birthday this week! I cannot believe I have a 10 year old. I probably say that every year too. I am proud of her though--she has grown up into a pretty awesome kid. She is kind, responsible, an awesome big sister, smart, helpful, and good to the core. I'm pretty sure she's the tallest in her class but she's okay with that. Esther loves doing crafts, READING, going to school, playing with friends, playing the piano (although sometimes she says she hates it), and dogs. She loves going to our neighbor's house and playing with their dog Rocky. Esther is a great babysitter and mom and dad have loved having her babysit while they run to dinner somewhere close for dates. She is motivated to do it because she wants to save up for a kindle. We sure love this girl!
She had a great day at school and then we cooked a ginormous feast (she even helped) of fettucine alfredo, chicken, sweet potato casserole, and salad. It was delicious! Then we headed to Menchies (fro-yo) for dessert. Esther REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted a dog for her birthday but it's not happening right now (Wesley is all we can handle right now) so we got her some dog pajamas. Yay!!! She was pretty happy with those. :) I am grateful to have such a kind helpful daughter!!
