We had a nice Christmas Eve and Christmas this year! I love this time of year and now there's always a little dread there too for it (no Grandma Mom Hess around to make it as special as she always did). We still do our best to have a good time and create new traditions. This year was the first year we had Christmas Eve at my dad's new house. We first visited Iris, Grandma, and Sam at the cemetery and then came back to my dad's and had an amazing dinner, program, Santa came and brought presents for the grandkids, and we did a sibling gift exchange. It was a fun long night.

Epic nativity. Look at that enthusiastic angel.

Santa almost brought Wes some coal but made an exception and brought a slide.
Christmas day we ate our breakfast casserole, sugar cereal, chocolate, and opened and played all morning. Then after a long nap (Wes was up a lot Christmas Eve) and in the evening we headed to Osaka Sushi for Christmas dinner. It was delicious and fun to not do any more cooking. :) Love this holiday even if it's a little bit less love with my mom gone.
