Kid "Discussions"
Today I was doing the dishes while listening to Esther and Walker (my nephew) argue. Esther had made a ring out of playdough which was on her finger. Walker was telling her that it was not a real ring and also that there was no way she was going to wear it all night. Esther was insistent that she was going to wear it all night, maybe even for two days or four days. Walker tried to pull me into the argument asking me whether or not Esther was really going to wear a playdough ring to bed but I was enjoying their discussion to much to ruin it with reality. I just replied that he'd have to ask Esther. It just reminded me of the old days when I used to fight with my siblings about the silliest things--who has more, who has the best, which toy beats another toy, who can do things better, etc... I think I even miss it. Today all my "discussions" with John are so much more complicated and real. I should have appreciated those days of meaningless fights and childish bantering. Well, I need to go enjoy some more "discussions" as Walker just told Esther, "girls don't turn into boys, they turn into moms!"

Haha! That cracks me up!!! Walker is much too practical.
I think you win the best sister-in-law award for watching my kids ALL DAY yesterday.
T-H-A-N-K Y-O-U!
ahhh, the simple things is life - how quickly we forget them and let reality overshadow everything. i'm glad you're enjoying a good dose of kid discourse.
Oh I love it! It is so fun to listen to the little ones have their arguments and deep discussions. They sound like they are about the same age and great little friends...
You kids are awesome and say really clever things. I wish I actually knew them!!!
