Issac--5 Months Old

Love love love this happy guy! You can't tell, but he is sticking his tongue out, just like he does every time he smiles. Isaac is still growing like a champ--definitely in the 95th percentile. He's had a rash for a couple weeks now she his face is usually looking pink and blotchy--no really sure what's going on. On top of that he has this horrible scratch on his head... funny story about that. Esther was playing with him earlier in the day and he suddenly starting screaming and I came over and saw the huge scratch. I assumed it was just his bad mother neglecting his fingernails and made a mental note to clip them A.S.A.P. Later that night, right before bed, Esther came up to me with tears in her eyes. She saic, "Mom, I was actually the one that gave Isaac the scratch--I put the mask on him and when I pulled it off it scratched him." It was so sweet to hear her confession. I was proud of her for being honest. She loves her baby brother so much.

Isaac is now a professionl roller--although only one way--back to front. It's been causing a bit of a problem at night. He likes to be swaddled but if he cries at night he often breaks out of the swaddle, rolls over, and then he's really mad because he does not sleep on his tummy. I've created a monster--not sure what to do about it--for now I just swaddle him like he's in a straight jacket and hope it lasts through the night.

As you can see, Isaac is a great eater! I just started him on some solids--in the hopes that it might help him sleep through the night a little better. My girls did not have quite the appetite that he seems to have--he's always hungry! But I can't get enough of his cute chubby cheeks, hands, feet, thighs, belly, etc...
