Family Update

I can't believe I haven't blogged in weeks! I thought I would give a quick update on the fam. Lucy is back in the habit of hitting--fortunately she only hits Esther, not other kids, so we're trying to work on that. She loves taking bubble baths and she is still averaging one bite per dinner.
Esther has decided she does not like her "yellow" hair and wishes it was pink. She is still having some fear issues at night but we told her we want her to start working on going to bed without mommy and daddy sitting outside her room. She is NOT thrilled about that.
John is still employed, thankfully, although we're looking for a new job because we're not sure how long the job will last. His latest hobby is shooting the pigeons that live on our house with a BB gun. He is quite proud of his one kill. Don't worry, it's completely legal because pigeons are the one bird that's considered a pest. Believe me, they are a pest--the noise, the poop, the mites that live on the poop. It's disgusting. Esther is very proud of her pigeon-killing dad and has bragged to a few people about his skills.
Me, well I have been tired, nauseated, and a little grumpy--but we can thank pregnancy for that. Yep, I'm pregnant with #3. We're very excited and we're definitely not finding out the gender. I've been joking with John I don't want to find out in case it's a girl and then I have to hear him complain for the last five months. I think we just want to do a suprise this time for the fun of it. Really, I'm just excited to be done with the nausea.. I'm at 12 weeks so hopefully just a few more.

CONGRATS! I am very excited for you. I think you should have another girl, because having three girls just sounds like so much fun to me...j/k. Acutally, we are very excited, but I have listened David complain a fair amount about it. It's not MY fault it's another girl. Tell Lucy to come over and hit Carmen, maybe that will teach Carmen to stop hitting!

I hope you are feeling better soon!

CONGRATS, KATIE!! That's so exciting! I'm so sorry about feeling pukey. I really hate that. I hope I have the stamina to not find out the gender of #3...we'll see when the time comes. Good luck with those pigeons.

Congratulations Katie. . .on being pregnant, not nauseated. I'm sorry you've been sick. I hate to hear that because now I know how miserable it really is. Yet, that's exciting that you're expecting. Tell John I hope it's a boy so he can share everything he knows about sports with him. Good luck!!!

Pink hair? Esther's a punk-rocker at heart...or maybe she just wants a magic wand to paint the whole world pink. She cracks me up!

Oh, and congrats again on being preggers. I'm excited to meet the newest little Thompson princess! You're just so good at making girls already that I'm sure you'll get another one.

Yahoo! I'm stoked! I'm thrilled to hear that you're not going to find out until the little one arrives. How fun! We did that with Macie you know, and it was amazing! I am a huge fan of waiting, and will do so with the next. Yea! Congrats to you both, and I'm hoping for a boy like John.
