Once a summer Lagoon

My parents are always so nice to treat us to Lagoon once a summer--this time my dad and John excused themselves due to work but my Mom and I braved the heat and crowds and had  a mostly fun day.  I put Isaac on the first ride the girls picked and he was less than thrilled.   He got a fat upper lip for a couple of rides but the rest he enjoyed.

This was one he did NOT enjoy.
So far, none of my kids have had a dare-devil attitude when it comes to Lagoon (that mostly likely comes from me!)

The boats were just the right speed for Isaac and Lucy.

We hit the Merry-go-round after our first few rides and that was a huge mistake.
Lucy got a little motion sick and that lasted for the next two hours.  We kept walking around while Esther and sometimes Isaac rode the rides, and Lucy cried on and off.

Here's a sad little Lucy with a barf-bag ready--fortunately we avoided any such catastrophes.

At the end of the day after swimming at Lagoon-a-beach, some amusement park food, and a handful of rides, Isaac and Lucy passed out in the stroller while waiting for Esther and Grandma to go on the Sky ride.

Esther did not get tired and loved every second of it except when we suggested she try scary rides like Puff the Magic Dragon (the tamest kiddie roller coaster in the west).  We realized this summer may be her last on many of the kiddie rides because she is getting so tall.  Here's a shot of her last ride on Bulgy the Whale.  She's growing up too fast.
