Yesterday we got back from our Hess family trip to Bear Lake. It was one of the best trips weather-wise we have had at the lake. One day there was not even a cloud in the sky! The kids had a blast playing in the sand and water, and riding on the boat and jetski. To celebrate Mom and Iris's birthday we hit the new shake place Zips for each one. It was a good distraction to be at the lake for Iris's birthday. John and my brother Lige went on a 50 mile bike ride around the whole lake! They are training for their triathlon next Saturday so they also did a lot of swimming. Maybe next year I will make the ride around the lake. It sounds like fun. It was nice to relax and have a vacation. We played some games and watched "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" too and had lots of good laughs.
